Last Friday, Scott Mills treated the nation to another edition of his stellar ‘Floorfillers’ show on BBC Radio 1. The hour long slot aims to play listeners the best dance tracks around at the moment, and ultimately, the songs they’ll be hearing whilst out clubbing that weekend. We’ve mentioned the show on here before because of its unparalleled dedication to Scandinavian pop music. The most recent one was no different – crammed into an hour, Scott managed to spin five scandipop gems; ‘Can’t Get Over’ by September, ‘Chemistry’ by Velvet, ‘Every Word’ by Ercola feat Daniella, ‘Release Me’ by Agnes, and ‘Out There’ by John Dahlback feat Basto.
We believe that it was Agnes’ first play on BBC Radio 1, so congratulations to her. And one of those tracks above, ‘Out There’, we haven’t mentioned before, so here’s a look at the video below. It’s by Swedish house music producer John Dahlback. John and his brother Jesper have been producing and remixing under the radar dance music for the best part of a decade, but it’s only now that John has moved into the mainstream. ‘Out There’ is coming out on Loaded Records in the next few months.
