Last night was the first scandipop night in London. A big thank you to all of those who came along and had a dance, and another thank you to all the well wishers of the last few weeks too. As for those of you who couldn’t make it – hopefully we’ll see you at the next one.
The night was a bigger success than we ever could have imagined. It was busy, the atmosphere was perfect, the crowd was ‘up for it’, and most importantly – the music was a great source of entertainment for everyone. The obvious crowd pleasers were well recieved as expected (Charlotte Perrelli, Euroband, and Velvet), there were a couple of surprise hits that had people screaming once the opening bars were played (Anna Book, Guri Schenke, and Lene Alexandra – you’ve got quite the following in London!), and the hits of yesterdecade that everyone loved hearing again (Aqua and Ace of Base – you’ve STILL got it!).
The venue was packed for most of the night, the hardcore crowd stayed dancing until the last song was played, and the song requests were recieved and granted as much as was possible. Photos from the event will be uploaded to this site soon. And we’re already looking forward to the next event on Thursday November 20th. Hopefully you are too.
Oh, and one final thing – we found a ladies shirt and a gentleman’s ring! If either of them belong to you and you would like them returned, get in touch.
