Say Lou Lou yesterday presented their next single. It’s ‘Games For Girls’, featuring Norwegian producer Lindstrøm. And with it, they’ve also shed some light on that much awaited debut album of theirs. It’s called ‘Lucid Dreaming’ and we have a bit longer of a wait until we hear it. February 2nd 2015, to be precise.
The new single and fresh collaboration has the girls upping the tempo and the tone quite considerably. A far cry from the downbeat devastation of the likes of ‘Beloved’ and ‘Maybe You’, ‘Games For Girls’ is positively disco! Or at least a cooler brand of electrodisco, that is. This is probably the happiest we’re ever gonna hear the girls – certainly the happiest they’ll allow us to hear anyway. But despite it being a brief change in direction for them, it does suit them quite well.
‘Games For Girls’ is released on October 15th. We hope it carries on the Say Lou Lou tradition of having an amazing b-side to go along with it.
