Sarah Dawn Finer’s been pretty much forcing us into the Christmas spirit of late – even though it’s only really mid November. First there were the generous previews of her new Christmas album with Malena Ernman that she gifted upon us last week. And then there was the televised taste of her forthcoming Christmas tour, that she delighted viewers with at the weekend.
Now, that new single from hers, ‘Is Anybody There’, is online for you to listen to and enjoy in its entirety. The duet with Samuel Ljungblahd has proven itself to be quite the blissful rouser in the week or so we’ve had to allow it to ‘bed in’. It’s not a particularly Christmassy song of course, but it’s definitely a seasonal winter warmer. And we imagine that was intention. After all – few Christmas albums exude the log fire warmth that Sarah’s own ‘Winterland’ album manages to. ‘Is Anybody There’ carries on where ‘Winterland’ left off. Audio affability!
Speaking of ‘Winterland’ – her appearances on Swedish television over the last couple of weeks have helped the album climb back into the Swedish album chart. Today it climbs a further few spots and spends a second week in the chart this winter – after its dominance of that very chart late last year.
