Sara Varga is finally ready to unleash the follow up single to ‘Spring För Livet’. It’s not her fault that it’s taken so long though! It’s the success of the aforementioned Melodifestivalen hit that’s postponed things a little longer than intended. A constant staple on the iTunes top 100 since its release, it’s outlasted most of the 32 songs that it initially competed with back in February and March. In fact, one could argue that only two songs have had more success than ‘Spring För Livet’ outside the competition – Loreen’s ‘My Heart Is Refusing Me’ and of course Eric Saade’s ‘Popular’. And it’s been the biggest hit of all 32 on radio play terms.
Anyway, on she forges with the next single finally, and we’re delighted to learn that she’s gone with our favourite song from her ‘Spring För Livet’ album (aside from the title track!) – ‘Förlåt Mig Älskling’ (‘Forgive me darling’). It’s an upbeat and jaunty number. Utterly charming in its ability to enrich its listener with a blissful dosage of docile merriment! This one softly grabs you, politely forces your feet to tap, and gently pushes your head to nod. Its intentions are pure – and thankfully so, as it’s just so damn irresistible.
She popped by Bingolotto last night to perform both ‘Förlåt Mig Älskling’ and ‘Spring För Livet’. And you can check out both performances below that. Before that though, is the new single in its studio recording;
