The always awesome Robin Stjernberg this weekend turned in a sublime performance of Natalia Imbruglia’s ‘Torn’ on Swedish television. An emotionally wrought MEGA BALLAD version of the classic nineties track. Performed especially for the annual televised charity gala Tillsammans för Världens Barn.
Note perfect, which is quite the feat considering some of the places he dared to take those notes to, and succeeded. And also – kudos to the chap for NOT changing the gender reference in the song, despite being 100% straight. What a guy.
This week, Robin has locked himself away in a cabin in the Swedish woods (or something like that) with a team of songwriters to work on some new music for the next 7 days. We can’t wait for album number two from him. He’s one of Sweden’s finest new popstars.
