Over in Finland, a massively successful young scamp has just released the second single from his new album ‘Boom Kah’. And it’s the follow-up to the hit single of the same name that he released earlier in the summer. That song was ace.
New single ‘Erilaiset’ is another urban/electro/pop amalgamation. It’s lacks the kind of chanty chorus that caught everyone’s attention on ‘Boom Kah’, however it’s a more straight forward pop song that turns out to be no less enjoyable than its predecessor. One wonders what him and his team make of new Finnish upstart on the block, Isac Elliot, coming along and stealing all of his pre-teen thunder. But wisely he’s on a totally different pop path sonically, and the two don’t seems like the obvious rivals that people would have expected. Which should hopefully result in some longevity for the pair of them – and that means double the music for us!
The song is the official single of this year’s Red Nose Day campaign in Finland. And the behind-the-scenes video sees Robin helping out with, and raising awareness of the cause.
