Here’s the brand new Rebound single!
‘Not Helpless’ is the follow up to the massively catchy ‘Hurricane’, a song which took us a little while to get into, but from which we haven’t been able to get out of since! The new single is of a similar sound, but doesn’t quite have the same punch as ‘Hurricane’ (what a fitting song title, in the context of that last sentence!). It’s catchy, but all of its strength does seem to lie in its chorus. But then it’s quite strong chorus at that. We’re going to give this time to grow, as we did with their last single, and hope for similar results this time around.
It’s a bit hard to tell if this is a hit yet. It was released digitally as part of a compilation album last week, and dented the iTunes top 100. But it’s currently out of the top 300 and being outsold by ‘Hurricane’. However, we do get the feeling that the single hasn’t had its ‘proper’ launch yet, and will probably be promoted as a single soon, when we should see a turnaround in its fortunes. We would after all, like to see an album from these guys.
