Swedish electro duo Rainmode returned today with their third single – ‘7D’.
In their words it’s “an homage to teen angst, naive love and songs engraved in your memory“. That “songs engraved in your memory” part undoubtedly comes from the fact that it sounds like this song was made in the 80s. In a good way. Production-wise it’s a retro flavoured romp. With added camp-appeal thanks to the cheekily fun lyrics delivered via a bouncey melody. ‘7D’ is smile inducing.
For fans of points of reference – it’s cross between Sound of Arrows and Pet Shop Boys.
