A hugely enjoyable new single from Danish outfit Private was released last week. The audibly delicious ‘Everywhere’.
Brilliant melodies, lush vocals, 80s synths, big ‘fuck off’ drums, an unfortunately out of place rapper – it’s got it all! And it’s all the better for it.
The fellow behind Private, Thomas Troelsen, is a big favourite of ours in terms of songwriting for other acts. Most recently, he’s been behind Aura Dione’s fab ‘Geronimo’, and he’s also worked with Aqua and Infernal, plus contributed to Junior Senior’s massive hit ‘Move Your Feet’. Plus he’s also been behind our two favourite singles from German girlband Monrose – ‘Hot Summer’ and ‘Strictly Physical’.
So we would have been enormously surprised had we not enjoyed new single ‘Everywhere’. Thankfully though, no shocks here;
