After all that (quite frankly, unneccesary) EMD balladry, we were patiently awaiting the return of solo Danny Saucedo. There was always the worry that he might pick up a guitar in an ill thought out attempt to change musical direction. But thankfully, he hasn’t. Far from it. He’s come back to Swedish radio with his new single – ‘Radio’. And it sounds like it could have been lifted from his first album, ‘Heart Beats’. Now we’re not one to stifle artistic creativity, but don’t you just love it when pop stars know which side their bread is buttered on?! Danny obviously does and he’s sticking with catchy dance/pop music. And we love him all the more for it. Admittedly, it’s nowhere near as good as previous singles ‘Tokyo’ or ‘Play It For The Girls’, but then not a lot of singles have been as good as those in the last 12 months! We trust there’ll be a few gems on the forthcoming sophomore album.
