Here’s a bit of an introduction to a future Swedish popstar. Well actually she’s a current Swedish popstar, since she’s both currently Swedish and currently making pop. So what we mean is here’s a bit of an introduction to a future HUGE Swedish popstar. It’s 13 year old (!) girl Nova Miller.
She’s been working on pop tunes for over a year now, and this week she has finally released her first lyric video. It’s for ‘Little Miss Perfect’, a song which isn’t going to be her first single, but instead is to serve as an introductory buzz track. As is the way.
As it stands, ‘Little Miss Perfect’ DOES turn out to be quite the perfect introduction to her. We’ve heard some of her other tracks, and this one really sets out the idea of what sound and style we’re going to be getting from her – on album number 1 at least. Guitar based pop that puts a massive emphasis on the POP side of that genre. As you get to know Nova, you’ll see that she can navigate her way around a cracking melody. And she does the whole bubblegum, Disney, tween, pop princess thing extremely well. And as we all know and should all appreciate by now – when that’s done well, it’s a keeper.
