Young Swedish prodigy (oh yes she is) Nova Delai released another great track yesterday – ‘Should I’.
The more observant amongst you may well remember we wrote about Nova Delai’s previous single ‘Slippering Into Sleep‘. That was an Amanda Mair-esque gorgeous piano ballad. This one raises the tempo a lot, but it’s yet another example of an extremely exciting talent that belies her mere seventeen years of age.
‘Should I’ took two listens to sink in fully, but it’s now well and truly cemented as being the fantastic song it is. Particularly that chorus.
The debut album is gonna be amazing, isn’t it?
A video for the song was also released yesterday, and is an interesting concept directed by Nikeisha Andersson. At first it comes off as frustratingly simple, but the fact that you can’t see what you want to see, quickly becomes a layer of the song in its own right. That doesn’t really make any sense on paper, but y’know.
Oh and praise be – the single has been released outside of Sweden too.
