We stumbled across this amazing song this morning over on the Popjustice forums. The supremely ridiculous ‘Oh Oh’ by Nordpolen aka Pelle Hellström.
It’s the campest form of electropop. Even Kylie’s ‘Your Disco Needs You’ would raise a neatly plucked eyebrow at this one. A four and half minute symphony of shameless synth. The type of thing that the Pet Shop Boys might have churned out pre-millenium. As a joke. And with a slurring Swedish vocal over the top of it. It’s even got A FUCKING KEY CHANGE.
The only thing that would make any of this better would be if it was also available as a free download. Well guess what? He’s thrown that in too. What a man.
