Negin Djafari from Gothenburg is currently making a splash of sorts in the US with an infectious new dance tune of hers. Say hello to ‘Unexpected’;
It starts off a bit NOISY to be honest. But when the chorus comes around, you’re happy that you stayed, and it all starts to make a lot of sense. Like we said above, it’s quite infectious. On top of the stellar chorus, we’re also loving the floaty synth riff that serves as the post-chorus. The single is a treat for another reason though – its remix at the hands of Wendel Kos.
Wendel Kos works his magic on the song in much the same way he did with Ercola and Daniella’s ‘Every Word’ a few years back. He turns ‘Unexpected’ into a much calmer track, an ethereal piece of trance. It’s something totally different from the original, and good enough to be a single in its own right.
