After 2012’s hugely promising debut single ‘Ghost’, Norwegian songstress Monika May has FINALLY followed it up with a new one. It’s called ‘Marilyn’ and it was released a couple of weeks back.
Picking up where ‘Ghost’ left off (although on a more 2014 ‘tip’, obvs), ‘Marilyn’ is a sophisticated slice of Scandilectro – with a great big dance synth placed over the top of it. Delightful. The chorus is the best bit, as is the way with these things. It’s not as moody as its predecessor was. ‘Marilyn’ could even be described as being quite jovial. Maybe it’s her relief at finally getting to release a new single that’s shining through subconsciously.
This is so good. PLEASE don’t make us wait two years for the next one, Monika.
