A brand new artist with a debut single to die for and super cool video while it’s at it. Hello there Monika May! And thanks to Bjorn Thomassen for tipping us off by posting this on the Scandipop Facebook page.
So yes, Monika May is her name. She hails from Norway, where Universal Music Norway have just snapped her up and launched her this very week with debut single ‘Ghost’. And yeah, it’s pretty amazing. Beautiful ethereal pop music with a dramatic overtone and big ol’ dance beat. Her vocals are very special too. In fact, if this was on Loreen’s ‘Heal’ album, it would be one of the better songs on there.
Monika says that her debut album won’t be ready until some time in 2013. We’ll just be sat waiting here until then.
