Swedish popstrel Miss Li continues to tick all of our boxes this year in the run up to her appearance on this season of Så Mycket Bättre which starts soon.
Following on from the summer single ‘My Heart Goes Boom‘ and a taster of her new album from earlier this week, ‘It Ain’t Over‘, she has premiered her brand new single ‘Plastic Faces’.
Like the two aforementioned tracks, it’s another upbeat and punchy number. Admittedly it feels a bit weird writing about this song, as she opens it up with the lyric “oh I’m so tired of the blogging“. Alright then, love! She despairs she’s tired of the blogs, the tweets, the Instagrams, the make-up, and the “plastic faces“. It comes across as slightly all-been-said-before-and-holier-than-thou, but we’ll forgive her. And we do love the lyric “I called the local weather station, it’s raining bullshit through the nation“. Plus the whole thing is fabulously dressed up in a brilliant string laden production, with the catchiest of melodies. Yes we do like this one an awful lot, questionable lyrics aside.
