Get your listening gear around this new treat from Sweden – the dancepoppery of ‘Big Dreamer’ by Mary N’diaye.
Mary is perhaps now most well known for her participation in the first series of the Swedish version of The Voice this year. Although she’s already had a smaller scale music career before that, the highlights of which are listed in the biography of her Facebook page.
‘Big Dreamer’ is her biggest launch to date, and it’s the first record of hers that has really made us go OMG WOW. It’s proper hands-in-the-air, high energy, peak time, dance floor fodder. And regular readers of this site will know that few musical stylings get us so excited. ‘Big Dreamer’ is bloody MASSIVE, and yet so full of substance at the same time. Our only gripe is that it ends so abruptly, and all too soon. What’s with the 3 minute limitation, Mary? This ain’t Melodifestivalen. We will accept a ludicrous/amazing extended version as a gesture of making up for this slight error.
Size queen issue aside though, this is one of those tracks that deserves to be huge everywhere. Let’s see what you think;
