So then, on Friday we all got the first clip of Martin Rolinski’s debut solo single, ’Blame It On A Decent Matter’. And this morning, he went along to radio station P4 Gothenburg, to have a chat with them and to premiere the full thing.
And here it is;
Epic electro pop, with an endearing emphasis on the POP! To our ears it’s lived up to all of the promise of Friday’s exciting clip. He’s delivered the ideal Martin Rolinski debut solo single. Produced to perfection and with a delightfully catchy chorus. We’re going to really enjoy getting to know this a lot better over the rest of the summer.
One thing though. Just WHO is that lady muttering that spoken word middle eight. It sounds like it could be Martin’s labelmate Alex Saidac? (we’ll be very embarrassed if “that lady” turns out to be Martin himself, but we don’t think it is!).
He’ll perform the single for the first time tonight, also in Gothenburg, at Lotta På Liseberg. So check back here later for that performance. And the single will be released at the end of August.
