At the end of last year, Swedish newcomer Marlene premiered the live version of new single ‘Stay Awake’. And we wrote about it.
Today the single finally gets a release, and so you can all listen to the superior studio version (no offence to her live vox of course, but songs always reach their full potential when we get to hear all of the studio wizardry, especially within this genre) below. It’s the follow up to last year’s mightily successful and mightily ace ‘Bon Voyage‘.
‘Stay Awake’ is a more down-tempo and dreamy effort from Marlene, but no less of a stunner. And two singles in we think it’s safe to flag Marlene up as one of the more exciting new popstars out there.
The single is out now and has been released outside of Sweden too, should you wish to get your paws on it.
