Norwegian pop icon Marion Raven is on the comeback trail. With a new single out next month proper and all that. It’s called ‘In Dreams’ and it had its premiere on Norwegian radio station P3 yesterday.
Speaking of radio – ‘In Dreams’ is VERY radio. Summer radio. Which is just as well really. It’s a jovial, mid-tempo pop number that doesn’t stray too far away from Marion’s beloved guitar pop stylings. The chorus is quite special though. They’ve somehow made it sound quite organically electro – in that the way they’ve used the cacophony of instruments (and there really is EVERYTHING in there in that chorus), it sounds almost synth like. So yeah, we like that part a lot. And it’s a positive thumbs up for the song as a whole too.
