Here’s an enchanting new ballad that we haven’t been able to get enough of over the last couple of days. ‘Morning Light’ by Mahan Moin.
Mahan is a Swedish singer of Persian descent who first became famous in Sweden as Idol alumni. New single ‘Morning Light’ was written by Mahan herself alongside Niclas Lundin and Maria Marcus, and produced by Maria Marcus – Niclas and Maria being the songwriting duo responsible for Andreas Lundstedt’s Melodifestivalen 2012 highlight ‘Aldrig Aldrig’.
‘Morning Light’ is a beautifully crafted, retro flavoured ballad full of emotion and with a genuine injection of soul. To our ears it’s a cross between Amanda Jenssen and Adele. And lo-and-behold…..is that a surprising key change we hear?!
