Mad Girl’s Good Song

Finnish singer, Anna Eriksson, released her latest album last month in Finland. And it’s had quite a brilliant single lifted from it called ‘Mad Girl’s Love Song’. As the title suggests, it’s not exactly your average ballad. The tempo is all over the place, it shifts from genre to genre, and it has an unconventional structure to it. The lyrics are lamenting, and the vocals are half despairing, half pleading. But amongst all the madness are great melodies – which is the most important thing obviously. Very good.
