She’s back. And this time she’s brought along fucking Diplo with her! The man behind intensely amazing productions from the likes of Beyonce, Robyn, M.I.A, and Nicola Roberts, turns his hand to the Danish up-an-comer who herself is already getting a name for herself for her own productions. MØ.
It’s a collaborative effort though, in that this new song ‘XXX 88’ falls completely into line with what’s gone before from her. The trademarks of her sound are all present and correct. And it’s very much a MØ track. Which is a credit to Diplo, we guess. That he can make it sound like a MØ track. When really, if you know Diplo’s own trademarks, you know it’s really a Diplo track.
Anyway, it’s bloody damn brill. The final 40 seconds or so of this are the best. When the production has a bit of a spazz-out and there’s trumpets and stuff. Although the whole thing is pretty ace.
