Here’s a song that we listened to today and thought “oh this is good, but maybe not good enough to bother writing about on here“. But then afterwards, we literally could not get it out of our head. Especially the “maaaddeeee oooof steeeeellll” part in the chorus. You’ll know what we mean when we heard it.
It’s ‘Made Of Steel’ by Swedish singer Lune. We don’t know too much about this Lune character other than that she’s released a few songs before that weren’t really to our taste. Oh, and that she featured on very good Adrian Lux single ‘Fire‘. We liked that one a lot.
‘Made Of Steel’ is icy, Scandinavian, female fronted electro music. A good genre, that. At first however, it does feel a little bit “we’ve heard this all before“, but like we said, that chorus (which starts at approximately the 1:16 mark in the below stream, reference fans) lifts the song from the half heartedly snapping jaws of mediocrity, and elevates it into being something special indeed.
Although it was only released last week, it actually first surfaced online a couple of years ago, being billed as Sebastian Ingrosso (him out of Swedish House Mafia) featuring Lune.
Do have a listen. Don’t ask us what’s going on in this video though. She’s an odd cookie, this one.
