LucyLoveTakeMeBack

New single released by Danish singer Lucy Love last week. It’s a mid 90s rave-up – one that’s set in the South of England, thanks to Lucy’s strangely British accent while performing. It’s rough around the edges, it’s not got no gloss or pretense, and it’s a little bit dirty. And therefore it authentically catches the very essence of the mid 90s rave-up. Not that we’ve ever been to a rave-up in the mid 90s, but, y’know.

if you take me back, then I swear that I’ll cry at your funeral” isn’t the most charming of statements, but she takes it and runs with it as the chorus – despite, or perhaps because of how the words jar.

‘Take Me Back’ is out now on iTunes, and has been released outside of Denmark too.
