Last night’s Lotta På Liseberg was quite the spectacle. Possibly the best of the season so far, in that it managed to cater to each end of our much loved spectrum – the young Scandipopstars singing their most recent hits, and the old schlager dears and drag queens performing Melodifestivalen favourites.

Eric Saade found himself in the odd position of sharing the stage with both his current love duet partner Tone Damli, and his former long term girlfriend Molly Sandén. But of course nobody amongst them cared, and the only brief bout of awkwardness was possibly during the opening lines of Molly’s ‘Unchained’. “I don’t care if she’s with you” etc etc

It’s also worth noting that Tone got a chance to sing her own single from earlier this year, our much loved ‘Look Back’.

Our favourite schlager pensioner Towa Carson was there last night. Amazing. We just LOOOOVE her!

And finally, drag show After Dark were on hand to act out the third drag schlager medley that Swedish primetime television has seen in less than a week! But naturally we didn’t love it any less. Last night’s subjects: Sarah Dawn Finer, Loreen, and Björn Ranelid & Sara Li.
