Over the weekend, Loreen made an appearance on Finland’s version of The Voice, to treat viewers to a rendition of ‘Euphoria’. It’s the first time it’s been performed on television since it won Melodifestivalen in Sweden over a month ago. And as of now, it’s the only time it’s scheduled to be given a televised performance until she competes in the Eurovision Song Contest at Azerbaijan at the end of May.
It’s incredible how this song and this woman both continue to amaze. Just when you think you’ve heard ‘Euphoria’ delivered to its full potential, in she adds a dramatic and beautiful string intro and outro. On top of this, she also drops something of a different vocal take on it, in parts. Particularly in the latter half, she really lets rip on it like we hadn’t heard before – probably because for this performance she’d completely toned down the choreography too, giving her vocals even more of a chance to shine.
