Swedish singer and part time Hollywood actress, Lisa Lovbrand, returns to music with a brand new album released on June 15th. It’s her third album and our interest is well and truly piqued because of the album’s lead single ‘Ain’t Givin Up’, which has been composed by the absolutely legendary Jörgen Elofsson in collaboration with Lisa. And what’s even more exciting is that Jörgen Elofsson HIMSELF has granted scandipop.co.uk permission to stream the song, IN FULL, as an exclusive on this website for you, ahead of its release!

This all equates to an enjoyable track which has its heart back in the 60’s, its tongue firmly in cheek, and its smile splashed broadly across its very pretty face. Lyrically its about a girl’s relentless attempts at bagging her love interest, all the while wryly boasting about how it’s a matter of not ‘if’ it’ll happen, but ‘when’ – and teasing him about the fact that he still doesn’t know it yet. Melodically, it shines the most during each chorus, which is half musical theatre, and half Jill Johnsson-esque country pop, but coming across as pure pop on the whole. And then there’s the music, which is infectiously happy throughout.
We knew we were going to be interested in this song as soon as we saw Jörgen Elofsson’s involvement in it. He is behind some of our absolute favourite pop songs of all time. We don’t quite know where to start when it comes to gushing about how much we love his music, but we suppose a quick run through of just some of the artists he’s made hits for will suffice – Britney Spears, Steps, Robyn, Geri Halliwell, Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Carola, Westlife, Jessica Folcker, Agnes, Darin, Same Difference, The Saturdays, Shayne Ward, Bellefire, Alsou, Gareth Gates, H & Claire, Kaci, Charlotte Perrelli, Marie Serneholt, No Angels, EMD, and so many more. Plus, most recently he has a song on the new Jennifer Lopez album – ‘Until It Beats No More’, plus he composed the mega successful song for the Swedish royal wedding last year, which was performed by Agnes and Björn Skifs – ‘When You Tell The World You’re Mine’. The man is true pop royalty!
