After a short little hiatus in which she could bask in the glory of her enormously well received debut album, Linnea Henriksson returns today with the first single from her what-is-bound-to-be much anticipated follow up album. ‘Du Söker Bråk, Jag Kräver Dans’
The new single sees her dive head first into ELECTRO, while still maintaining the indiepop sensibilities that took her to such acclaim last time around. Interesting! Interesting indeed – as it means we get kind of a brand new take on electro music, a genre in which it’s often quite to stand out. Linnea Henriksson’s dabbling in synths, throws up a fun and quirky tune that’s certainly more instant than anything from her (very good) first album, and quite possible even better too. Big pop chorus alert. And what’s that – do we detect an element of disco too? Linnea we never knew you had it in you!
We hope that this sound is indicative of the rest of the album, and not just a commercial experiment that’s been thrown out as the BOOM SHE’S BACK lead single.
It’s out now and has been released outside of Sweden too.
