Linda Sundblad has unleashed a brand new track ahead of her participation in Melodifestivalen next month. And what’s more, she’s offering it up as a free download!
‘I’m A Star’ is a an electro pop track. Much lighter, fluffier, and poppier than most of what we heard on her ‘Manifest’ album from last year. It’s simplistic in its repetitive recycling of a synth riff loop, but it certainly doesn’t suffer as a result. Stargate-esque synths are added to the mix which give the song some similarities to their production on Rihanna’s ‘Only Girl In The World’. Charmingly, the track is played as a duet between Linda and an unidentified electronic vocodered voice, with the two taking it in turns with the vocals back and forth.
We like it, it’s fun!
