Lena Philipsson finally gave the first TV performance of her most recent single ‘Världen Snurrar’ last weekend. Her best track in years has become one of our big favourite songs of 2012, so we’ve been looking forward to seeing her perform it, as only Lena Philipsson can perform songs, for a while now. Lena PH’s trademark performance style of throwing herself around the stage and clubbing (fabulously halfheartedly) on the spot was all present here. And this one even brought her to her knees. Literally.
As well as seeing her do it justice live for the first time, we also get to hear it in a new way too, as it was performed with a full live band. So quite the change from the dance track (which you can listen to right here in all its considerable glory) that we fell in love with when we first got the album. And that was an enjoyable experience in itself – particularly the ostentatious guitar during the middle eight!
The ‘Världen Snurrar’ album was released in Sweden only, but folk from outside of Sweden can get it on CD from our online store here.
