Lena Philipsson today unveiled her brand new single, ‘Idiot’!
Written and produced by Magnus Lidehäll, it’s quite a big change in direction for her. It’s a darker more electro-dance sound, with a bright and cheery pop temperament. And we’re still getting slight retro vibes from it too, which is of course the sort of style she’s been known for musically over the last few years, with her Orup duet albums.
It’s quite underplayed, not a big and ballsy number by any stretch of the imagination. It’s subtle. And that does lend a certain charm to it, even though it’s far from what we were hoping for, or expecting from, THE Lena Philipsson comeback. We’re gonna let this one sit with us for a few days….
