The marvellous Le Kid are going from strength to strength leading up to the release of their debut album, ‘Oh Alright’, next month. The last startling piece of evidence in favour of this theory, was the release of their new single, ‘America‘, a few weeks ago. And now the latest proof is here – that very song’s video!
While the rest of the world were steaming the new Lady Gaga album on the Metro newspaper’s website this morning, we were over on the Expressen newspaper website, fawning over their premiere of the Le Kid video, which you can stream below. As you’ll see, it’s nothing short of actual brilliance – it’s just so clever in what it does. They’ve delivered something which is as dazzlingly bright as it is depressingly dark. They present an image of breathtaking glamour, that’s sapped away by a heartbreaking grim. The genius word is flung around quite frivolously these days, we know, but this really is deserving of it, isn’t it?!
