Oh we’ve fallen for another feisty female from Finland. We’re head over heels in love with the new single from Laura Närhi, ‘Tämä On Totta’. It’s got such a fantastic chorus, and is one of those songs that makes you press play again once it’s over. Its chorus is also one which makes you want to sing it on your own afterwards, as it’s so catchy. But as it’s in Finnish, all we can do is hum it again! Having said that, we actually think that part of its charm is that it’s in Finnish, so we wouldn’t change that at all. There’s something about the Finnish language that is quite beautiful to listen to in song.
As for Laura herself, well she’s had a couple of singles before in Finland, but this is her first bonafide hit there, where it has peaked at number 2 and is still in the top 5 after two months. It’s also helped launch her debut album, ‘Suuri Sydän’, which has gone top 3.
