Finland has just launched its latest boyband. And early signs are pointing towards these chaps being a bit huge. Sort of like Finland’s answer to neighbouring Sweden’s The Fooo. Now THAT would be good, wouldn’t it? It’s Kliff, and their debut single ‘Mun Jopo’.
At first listen the song is undoubtedly a bit “EH“?! It’s certainly not what we were expecting anyway. But after it’s finished playing, that chorus has indeed done the job of lodging itself in your head. And on the second listen it all makes a lot more sense. And you also end up noticing that little-bit-brill middle eight that they shoehorned quietly into proceedings too.
Sound wise, it’s pop but with an urban edge. See – not what you would expect from that pic above, is it?
Kliff are: Elie, Tomi, Topias, and Ville.
They’ve released a video for the single. And that video has now surpassed 200,000 views in the mere two weeks it’s been online. That’s big.
‘Mun Jopo’ is out now and has been released outside of Finland too, should this be your sort of thing;
