Erik Hassle fans will be pleased to know/hear that his track ‘Last Rider’ from last year’s ‘Taken’ EP has been injected with amphetamines, and given a brand new lease of life! Erik’s fellow Swede, the producer and DJ John Dahlbäck, has taken the song and given it a makeover so that it’s fit for some well received outings to clubland.
Renamed as ‘One Last Ride’, the revision has gone down so well, that it’s now getting released as a single on September 12th.
Hands-in-the-air, it ain’t. Instead, it’s a more subdued kind of euphoric feel. Sound wise, it’s actually quite reminiscent of the last time some Swedish dance producers took a shine to an indie track from one of their fellow country folk – Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso featuring Salem Al Fakir, ‘It’s True’. Erik’s voice sounds LUSH at the best of times anyway, but we especially love it when it lends itself to the dancefloor – hello, Wideboys remix of ‘Hurtful’!
