During the summer months more than any other season, the Swedish pop makers really churn out the dance tunes. It’s marvellous! We can’t get enough. And here comes another – ‘Du å Jag’ (You & I) by that chap you see above, Jean Love.
Jean Love aka Jean Pierre Marques is famous in Sweden as a reality TV star (from both Paradise Hotel and Ung och Bortskämd) and now generally a ‘scene’ celeb. He released a single in 2010 too, ‘Let’s Party‘, but yeah that one was a tad generic.
This one however, is much better. A proper song with a melody that tugs on the heart strings, and a production that focuses on everything else. A love song for Clubland. In Swedish. And while it’s certainly no ground breaker, it’s most definitely a floor filler. It’s very likable. And instant, at that.
