Finnish electropop piece Jannika B has just put out her third single over there, released today actually. And guess what – it’s yet another stomper!
‘Seuraavaan Elämään’ follows on from ‘Onnenpäivä‘, and the particularly amazing ‘Hulluksi Omnesta‘. Once again, it’s an 80s flavoured synth masterpiece that comes to life with a big chorus. This one’s got a bit of an odd characteristic going on with the melody though – but it works. In terms of that melody, there’s a Nordic folk sounding verse, and a balls-out, dramatic, stadium rock chorus. No prizes for guessing which of the two is our favourite, but they do go very well together.
Three ‘above par’ singles in, and Jannika B is definitely one of our favourite new popstrels to come through in 2012.
