Janet Leon today releases her new single in Sweden. The follow-up to her sublime Melodifestivalen highlight ‘Heartstrings’ from earlier this year. And it’s a big one – it’s been chosen as this year’s official song for Stockholm Pride.
It’s New Colours’. A heart-on-its-sleeve dancepop track, painted with several bright shades of gay, and seasoned with just the right amount of camp. It’s instantly likeable, and a torch song for that specific kind of pop music that only really Sweden knows how to do so well. Janet Leon rises to the oGAYssion brilliantly with her vocal delivery – and so Stockholm Pride 2013 is served up with its anthem. The best Stockholm Pride song for quite some time.

‘New Colours’ has been written by Janet herself along with Jesper Jakobson, Lisa Desmond and the legendary Jörgen Elofsson. It’s been produced by Jesper Jakobson and Christoffer Wikberg (Alina Devecerski’s ‘Flytta På Dej’).
