It’s been rumoured for a while now that Alcazar were returning to the UK once more this year to unleash another dose of their pop perfectionism on our unsuspecting nation. However, nothing was in concrete and no deals were in place.
Until now that is!
We can exclusively reveal that Agnes’ UK record label, 3Beat Blue, have officially signed Alcazar to release ‘Burning’ in the UK! The deal was signed last week, remixes will be commissioned next week, club promos sent out shortly after, and then it will be taken before the dreaded heads of radio, for a harsh assessment! ‘Burning’ really is the best choice for the UK market, it’s the most dance orientated and is in much the same vein as ‘In The Heat of the Night’ by Star Pilots, which was given 2 weeks on the A-List and 3 weeks on the B-List by BBC Radio 1.
We mightn’t get good weather in Britain this summer, but if we can get Alcazar blaring out of the radio over July and August, smiles shall be restored! We posted the video to ‘Burning’ a few months back when it was first made public, but here it is again;
