A new Finnish lady singer! Siru Airistola competed in the most recent series of The Voice in her native Finland. And this is her first proper single – ‘Kaksi Naista’.
Is it a good ‘un? It’s a stunner of a ballad that we’ve been listening to a hell of a lot over the past few days. Devastatingly melodic – it transcends any language barriers you might be otherwise concerned about. It’s also pretty rousing too – that bit that kicks in after the first chorus is quite something to behold.
And what’s next for Suri? She’ll be competing to represent Finland at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest! She’ll participate in UMK with the song ‘Mutelmat’. Her debut album will follow after that.
