RoxSo eh? A combination of their individual names, by any chance? How DID you guess? Swedish duo RoxSo have just released their debut single and video ‘Goodbye’. RoxSo being Swedish fashion blogger Caroline Roxy, and Swedish popstar Sofie Larsson.
THE Sofie Larsson? As she lives and breathes! Long term Scandipop readers will remember Sofie from the two singles she released as part of another duo SoJo back in 2011 (both amazing and both produced by Jonas von der Burg). And of course before that she was one half of the 21st century pop legends Lucky Twice (more amazingnessness from JVDB).
What’s the debut single like? Swedish bubblegum pop crossed with Balearic summer dancepop. Its melody is devastatingly heart wrenching, coupled with those lyrics. And of course with that being matched to the uplifting and sunny styled music – well, therein lies a bit of brilliance. It’s a song that gives the happysads. And there is no emotion in pop music that gives goosebumps more than the happysads.
