Who? Hailing from Rönninge in the south of Stockholm, this is Phelly! She arrives with her debut single ‘Stenar’.
What’s the song like? An inventive take on the current trend of re-imagining ’80s synthpop. There’s a creativity in the way this song has been crafted – going from clear chants of statements, to veering off into dreamy singing without lyrics. Quite the introduction to the new artist!
What does Phelly say? “I have always been a girl who stands up for myself and may not always fit in. With the song, I want to share my experiences and hope that people will be able to recognise themselves in the phenomenon that the song describes. It is a song that allows you to be yourself, from which you can gather strength and hopefully feel that you are not alone in feeling what you are.”
