Norwegian newcomer MAIH has positively enlightened us with her latest release, ‘The Movie Of Us’. As well as us being able to take enjoyment from it being a melodically perfect pop song, there’s also the interesting case study of those lyrics. Falling somewhere between an aspirationally romantic view of a situation or cringe-inducing delusion, it’s left to us, the listener, to come up with our own interpretation. Something which, multiple listens later, we’re still having fun figuring out.
