Who? Well *actually* Joel Gunnarsson is a name whose work should be familiar to many regular Scandipop readers, as he’s penned tunes for the likes of Isak Danielsson, Wiktoria, Rhys, The Mamas, Sebastian Walldén, Estraden, LOVA and Sval in the past. But now, Joel releases his very first single as an artist in his own right. It’s called ‘Loser’.
What’s it like? A bittersweet celebration of self-deprecation which unfortunately leads to some self-sabotage. But whatever the predicament of his love affairs, he’s at least left us with a mightily punchy pop chorus, and for that we are grateful.
Written by? The artist himself, along with Adele Cechal, with additional production from Sebastian Furrer.

You can find ‘Loser’ on our Best New Pop playlist.
