Who is Chris Holsten? A Norwegian popstar who has just released his debut single, ‘Layers’. His voice may already be familiar to some though. He provided the vocal for the enormous domestic hit by Norwegian production duo Broiler – ‘Rays of Light’.
What’s his debut single like? It’s nothing like his Broiler collab. ‘Layers’ is an intricately produced, urban flavoured pop track that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Tove Lo album. The production is pretty special, but it’s still Chris Holsten’s vocal that stands out and shines the brightest here.

And there’s a video? There is. The main focus is supposed to be the lady dancer, and it’s a bit Sia-esque in that respect. But good luck keeping your eyes off the dashing Chris instead…
