Who? Back in 2016 she won X Factor Denmark as one half of a duo with her sister (a duo whom we featured on Scandipop a few months later). Now Azilda is releasing her first single on her own – debuting with ‘Come Over’.
What’s it like? A commandeering pop tune that invites you in and provides enough rhythm that ensures you’ll wanna stay for a while. She says that the track is influenced by her Angolan roots, and the production is all the better for it.
What does Azilda say? “It is both scary, but also a feeling of freedom to stand on my own two feet now. I always knew my sister had my back when she was there. But now it’s just me. At the same time, having the final say also opens up a lot of possibilities. Now it’s entirely up to me who I want to be as an artist.”
