A brand new Swedish singer with an odd name released her debut single this week. If You Say So/Paint Me. Guess which one of those is the artist’s name and which one is the song title…..
Oh hang on, the title of this post kind of gives that one away.
‘Paint Me’ is one of those dramtically dreamy electronic masterpieces that could really only come from Scandinavia. Whispy vocals over sharp strings and some synths with a sense of urgency. The whole thing feels less like a pop song and more like a film soundtrack – which actually makes for a pretty good pop song when you look at it that way.
We know sod all about this If You Say So girl, other than that the single is signed to 100 Songs, and the fact that we like her already.
The single is out now, and has been released outside of Sweden too.
